In the June 22, 1860 Brown Township, (Waveland Post Office), Montgomery County, Indiana, Census, Levi was twenty nine years old.  According to a letter written May 18, 1867 by David Hepler to his brother Peter Hepler, Levi left Fountain County for Minnesota on May 12th, 1867. (David & Peter were brothers of Levi Bowers wife Christina Hepler).
