| Message: | Seeking any information about M.A.BOWERS b 1850 AL Died 9 June 1914 DeRidder Beauregard Parish,Louisiana. Married 1st.Ella QUINN Produced three children Mary Manolva b.9 June 1880;Johney Walker b.9 Feb.1882; James Liles 18 May 1884. Can't find them on any census, before 1900. All were supposed to be born in AL. I don't find anything about Ella Quinn Bowers, where she died,or where buried. In 1900 Mary had married Walter SILVIS in AR, Johney W. had disappeared. James L. was on the 1900 Sevier Co. AR, living with his father, M.A. In 1910, M.A. was living in Little River Co AR with my grandmother, Elizabeth GRADY MATLOCK BOWERS, and the four children they produced. Laura Belle born 28 July 1901 TX. Next; b. 6 Feb. 1903 TX Next; b. 17 Nov.1905 AR The last born 27 Jan. 1908 AR. This would suggest they had married in TX. No records ever found. Have never found a marriage license for Elizabeth Grady in TX and her first husband, MATLOCK. They would have had a female child, Maggie/ Margaret on the 1900 census, but Matlock may have died by then. On the 1880 census, not known where, Lizzie would have been about 7-8 years old,her birthday being in Oct.1872, but not living with her parents. They had died of a fever. If anyone has seen information about these three families, that can lead me to Manolva Arvil BOWERS parents, I will be grateful. Thank you. Joy |
