| Message: | Hi All, I'm new to the list and a newbie at this so please bare with me. I'm looking for information on my g/fathers parents. My g/father was James Owen BOWERS . His parents were John BOWERS & Florence Agnes KEEBLE. Their children were - 1)James Owen (Jim) (my g/father)b 3 Jan 1900 Irvinebank QLD d Dec 1975 Brisbane QLD. 2)Charles Herbert (Bert) b 11 May 1902 d 20 Dec 1981 Gordonvale QLD. 3)William Leslie (Les) b 22 Feb 1905 4)Godfrey Norman (Norm) b 22 Oct 1907 d 16 Oct 1988 Gordonvale QLD. 5) Walter Keeble BOWERS (Wally) b 26 Feb 1910 d May 2001 Port Douglas QLD. 6) Florence Esmah (Es) b 23 Jun 1913 d ? 7) Victor Stanley (Stan) b 31 Mar 1916 8) Ernest John Thomas (Ernie) b 22 Nov 1919 The family lived in north Queensland AUST. The only information I have for gr/g/fathe John BOWERS is he was a labourer. (from my g/father's marriage certificate). Also from the marriage certificate is Florence's surname is written as REEBLE, but the Church of Latter Day Saints says it's KEEBLE. Any information would be appreciated. Christine GRELL nee BOWERS |
