| Message: | I looked at the site and noticed that the name BOWERS seems to be traced back to the british isles but I know my family originally came from germany with the name BAUER. I realize that our name was americanized during immigration. I just want to know if, when, and how the name spread from the british iles. And if there are any other people with the name who can trace there ancestry back to germany as well. | |
