The following is a Land Deed obtained from Clinton County, Ohio regarding DOROTHY BOWERS, wife of HENNERY BOWERS and mother of:

THIS INDENTURE made this eleventh day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty three between Dorothy Bowers of the county of Clinton and state of Ohio of the first part and Charles Harris of the county and state aforesaid of the second part witnesseth that the said party of the first in for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars lawful money of the United States to his in hand well and truly paid by the said Harris also said Harris is to pay the said Dorothy Bowers twenty dollars yearly during her natural life the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and do aliened released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien release convey and confirm unto the Charles Harris heirs and _________forever all that certain tract or parcel of two________lying and being in township of Green in the county of Clinton and state aforesaid containing sixty acres of land and bounded as follows beginning at the east corner of the original survey a white oak hickory and dogwood being the north corner of Abraham Bufords survey # 4397 with the original line North 45 West seventy two and one half poles to a sugar tree and two white oak the east corner of Jacob Bowers______thence with his line south 46-west one hundred and twenty nine poles two hickory and four dogwoods at his south corner and in Morgan Cemetery line thence with his line south 45 East seventy six and one half poles to his east corner in Bufords line a white oak and dogwood thence with the original line North 45 East one hundred and twenty nine poles to the beginning.
