VIERLING - Entered into rest Sunday, at 8:45 a.m., Florent Vierling, dearly beloved father of Joseph Vierling and Amelia BAUER (nee Vierling), dear father-in-law of Lena Vierling (nee Herf), and Jacob BAUER, our dear grandfather, brother-in-law and uncle, after a brief illness, aged 68years. Funeral Wednesday at 8:30 a.m., from residence of sister-in-law, Mrs. Sophia Vierling, 1541 North Fourteenth street, to St. Liborius' Church, thence to Calvary Cemetery. Motor.

NEWMAN, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mrs. Newman was until her marriage Miss Susie Ballinger of Hutchinson. She attended Forest Park College in St. Louis and has studied music in St. Louis with Ernest Kroeger, in Chicago, and in New York with Harold BAUER, Richard Hageman and Miss Quaile. Mr. Newman served during the Spanish American war, was a lieutenant in the Missouri National Guards and captain in the Kansas National Guards. He was a captain with the United States army overseas. He is a member of the Hutchinson American Legion; Veterans of Foreign Wars; and is State Department Speaker for the Legion. Mr. and Mrs. Newman have one son, Harold Wadsworth.
