Adam Bowers to John Bowers

 

 I Adam Bowers, has this day, bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and Convey to John Bowers and his heirs forever for the Consideration of One thousand dollars ( the receips wherefor hereby acknowledged) to me paid by the said Bowers a certain tract of land in McNairy County & State of Tennessee. In range 4. sec 1. Beginning two hundred & eleven poles north of the SW C. of Entry no 2262 in the name of B Wright - as a hickory & 2 poll for them east one hundred & __ poles to a post oak, hickory & black oak __ them South one hundred & twenty four poles to a stake & 3 black oak __, thence east twenty poles to a black oak & 2 post oak __, then South eighty seven poles to a black oak & 3 post oak __. Thence west one hundred & forty poles to the North west Corner of Entry no 2262 thence North two hundred & eleven poles to the Beginning
Containing 200 Acres more or less
To have & to hold the same to the said John Bowers & his heirs and assigns forever. I Covenant with the said John Bowers, that I am lawfully suzur of said land, having a good right to convey it & that it is unincumbeved. I do further Covenant & ___ myself my heirs & representative to warrant & forever defence the title to the said land & every part there of to the said John Bowers, his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whatever.

Adam Bowers the within Conveyer with whom I am Personally acquainted and acknowledge the Execution of the within Deed on the day it bears date and for the use and purpose, therein. Contained Witnig My hand at office in Purdy this the 11th day of January 1870
