For our purposes, just as my grandparents did, our families will converge here for the Look-up Project. This project is an extension of the Bower-L, the Bowers-L, the Bauer-L and the Baur-L@rootsweb.com discussion groups. We have volunteers listed here will to do free look-ups from materials in their home libraries to help you in your quest for Bower[s]/Bauer/Baur, etc. ancestors or any of the variant spellings you'll find on the page here. Please understand, this is not a large effort as we are not trying to compete with other, larger sites whose prime goals are to do only look-ups. Rather, we are simply offering our resources of Bower[s], Bauer, Baur surnames and their variant spellings.
